What You're Signing Up For
The New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 3) (General) at UCOL is designed to help learners advance their English language proficiency in preparation for further study or work. The programme covers reading, writing, listening, and speaking, helping students communicate with independence and fluency in a range of everyday, workplace, and academic contexts. This course is suitable for learners with prior English study, including those who have achieved NZCEL Level 2 or equivalent, and prepares students for undergraduate studies or further English specialisation.
Course Content
- Reading Level 3 General: Reading, understanding, and responding to texts on familiar topics.
- Writing Level 3 General: Writing comprehensible, connected texts for familiar purposes with linguistic accuracy.
- Listening Level 3 General: Understanding main points and supporting detail in conversations and interviews.
- Speaking Level 3 General: Speaking with coherence, fluency, and confidence on familiar topics.
