The New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Rumaki, Reo Rua) (Level 4) is designed for individuals looking to progress their fluency and flexibility in te reo Māori. This programme develops reading, writing, and speaking skills to empower learners to communicate independently in whānau, marae, social, community, workplace, and academic contexts with confidence in te ao Māori. Graduates will be able to contribute actively to the maintenance and development of te reo in homes, workplaces, and iwi/hapū contexts.

  • Summarising and Presenting Information (Te Kukunetanga - Whakarāpopoto me te Whakaatu Pārongo)
  • Evaluating and Responding to Ideas (Te Kukunetanga - Te Arotake me te Whakautu Huatau)
  • Reo for Practical Purposes (Te Kukunetanga - Reo mō ngā Whāinga ā Ringa)
  • Synthesising and Evaluating Arguments (Te Kukunetanga - Te Kōtui me te Arotake Tohenga)
