What You're Signing Up For
The Diploma in Language (DipLang) at the University of Otago is designed for students wishing to gain advanced knowledge and proficiency in one of five core languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, or Spanish. The programme is structured with academic rigour and endorsement options, requiring at least 126 points of study. Students will be exposed to advanced language courses and cultural content, with at least 36 points at 300-level, providing both foundational and high-level language skills. The diploma allows cross-crediting with other Otago degrees (with restrictions), and further postgraduate options are available.
