Te Pōkaitahi Reo Māori (Reo Rua) [Kaupae 3] | NZ Certificate in Te Reo Māori [Level 3] is designed for learners who have a basic foundation in te reo Māori and want to further develop intermediate proficiency in the language. The programme supports growth in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills related to Māori language and culture. Upon graduation, students will have increased independence and confidence using te reo Māori in a range of settings.

Course Content

  • Intermediate level (Level 3) Te Reo Māori language acquisition
  • Māori and marae activities (including noho marae)
  • Work-based activities requiring the use of te reo Māori
  • Reading, writing, listening, and speaking practice
  • Communication in Māori for social, community, workplace, and academic contexts
  • Exposure to te ao Māori (the Māori world) and basic cultural customs

Completion of Te Pōkaitahi Reo Māori (Reo Rua) | NZ Certificate in Te Reo Māori [Level 2], or an equivalent qualification.
