What You're Signing Up For
MSL Training offers Police Preparation programmes at their Manukau Campus focused on supporting individuals aged 16 and over who aspire to a career in policing. The programmes enhance skills such as cultural identity, fitness, teamwork, communication, academic and physical recruitment preparation, all aimed at meeting New Zealand Police recruitment criteria. Two main course levels are offered: Level 2 Introduction to Police for 16-24 year olds with no or low qualifications, running full-time over 20 weeks with zero fees under eligibility; and Level 3 Police Preparation for over 17 year olds designed as a 24 week part-time course to support academic and physical readiness for police recruitment, with fees of $3477 or free under the New Zealand Free Fees Scheme for eligible candidates.

What you need to know first
Level 1 or no prior qualifications for Level 2 course
Age 16-24 for Level 2 course
Over 17 years old for Level 3 course
NZ Citizenship or resident visa or refugee status
NZ Driver's Licence (restricted or full) for Level 3
