What You're Signing Up For

The Introduction to Supervision (health and social practice) course at Wintec is a 12-week, part-time Level 7 programme aimed at building foundational knowledge and practical skills in supervision. It covers the nature of supervision, supervisory relationships, contracting, and structured approaches to supervision sessions. The course prepares students to take on supervisory responsibilities in their professional health or social practice roles, with an emphasis on understanding both professional and organisational contexts of supervision.

What you need to know first

An undergraduate degree relevant to health or social practice, or equivalent qualification as assessed by the Team Manager.

For non-native English or Māori speakers: IELTS 7.0 in all bands or equivalent.

Supply names and contact details for two professional referees.

May require an individual interview.

Must be employed or working in a position allowing relevant professional practice and supervision engagement.

Specific modules may require current nursing registration.
