The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (PGDipHealSc) at the University of Canterbury offers advanced, interdisciplinary study for professionals in health, social services, or government. The program provides opportunities to critically examine major health issues and improve professional practice. Students can follow a general pathway or focus on one of several endorsed specialist areas: Environment and Health, Health and Community, Health Behaviour Change, Health Information Management, Health Leadership and Management, Palliative Care, or Taha Hinengaro – Health and Wellbeing Practice. The qualification is equivalent to the first part of the Master of Health Sciences.
