- Career and Study Planning (Level 3) - developing personalised plans for future study and employment.
- Communication and Learning (Level 3) - learning effective communication skills in various modes and managing own learning.
- Bioscience for Health Science (Level 3) - understanding and applying health science knowledge to practical contexts.
- Numeracy for Health Science (Level 3) - acquiring and using numeracy skills relevant to health science study and employment.

NCEA Level 1 or equivalent academic achievement.
