The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science in Violence and Trauma Studies (AUT) is designed for professionals working with those impacted by violence and trauma. The programme explores a range of perspectives and responses, integrating Māori and Western approaches to healing, with the goal of preparing graduates to assist in community and individual healing. The diploma is ideal for community agency workers, social workers, counsellors, probation officers, teachers, and other professionals dealing with interpersonal violence, mental health, drug and alcohol, disability issues, and crisis response. Completing the diploma can also provide a pathway into master’s level study.
