The qualification provides a pathway to further postgraduate study, such as the postgraduate diploma or a master's in health science.

- Specialised study options (e.g., child health, leadership & management, mental health & addictions, older adult: health & wellness, health ethics, Māori health, midwifery, violence and trauma studies, podiatry, rehabilitation, oral health, digital health, occupational health, sport and exercise physiotherapy)
- Courses in digital health: Exponential Health Technologies, Digital Health Disruption, Digital Health Leadership, Digital Health and the Future of Work
- Courses in occupational health: Health Ergonomics, Occupational Ergonomics, Vocational Management and Rehabilitation
- Oral health: Advanced Contemporary Knowledge in Oral Health, Oral Health Adult Restorative Patient Care II (with possible additional pharmacology if not previously completed)
- Sport and exercise physiotherapy options

Bachelor of Health Science OR Graduate Diploma in Health Science OR relevant professional practice or experience in a related health field equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
