What You're Signing Up For

Study health sciences with AUT to develop the skills essential for a wide range of health sector careers. The Bachelor of Health Science is designed in consultation with New Zealand health organisations and is AUT’s flagship non-clinical health degree, providing options to specialise in areas such as health management, case management, counselling, paramedicine, psychology, and public and environmental health. The programme offers both standard and individualised pathways, with opportunities to add a second major or minor, and is delivered by experienced staff committed to student success.

  • Core studies in health science and healthcare systems
  • Specialist study pathways: Case Management, Counselling, Health Management, Paramedicine, Perioperative Practice, Psychology, Public and Environmental Health
  • Flexibility to tailor your degree with additional majors/minors
  • Preparation for non-clinical and some allied health roles

  • Meeting professional standards (e.g. Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act)
