What You're Signing Up For

Discover how to grow your own vegetables and fruit, set up a kitchen garden, and master sustainable horticulture practices for a greener planet. This practical, entry-level certificate covers seed germination, plant and soil care, fruit tree management (including pruning), safe practices, and water and ecosystem management. Classes are scheduled two days a week to fit with other commitments, beginning at the start of the Spring season and taught at Wintec Rotokauri campus. You'll gain skills to support healthy, organic food production at home and can progress into further study or entry-level horticultural roles.
