What You're Signing Up For
This programme provides budding landscape designers the foundational skills and knowledge needed to create sustainable, attractive, and functional outdoor spaces. Learn to carry out site analysis, select appropriate planting, encourage biodiversity, and use green design solutions. There’s a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, plant science, design principles, and developing professional garden design portfolios, as well as basic supervisory and aftercare management skills. Graduates will be prepared to start a career in landscape design or continue to further qualifications.

What you need to know first
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age at programme commencement, or provide an Early Release Exemption form.
Meet English language proficiency requirements as outlined by NZQA or Unitec.
Special/discretionary admission may apply if basic criteria are not met; eligibility determined at interview.
