What You're Signing Up For

This 24-week full-time programme combines the NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) and the NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Operational Skills (Level 3), equipping students with applied and practical skills in horticulture production, machinery operation, and seasonal work relevant to the industry. Graduates can operate horticultural vehicles, work with industry-standard machinery, and undertake a range of seasonal horticultural activities, preparing them for immediate employment or further study in horticulture.

  • Horticulture production fundamentals

  • Safe operation of horticultural vehicles (Hydraladda, quads, LUVs, tractors, ride on mowers)
  • Operation and maintenance of horticultural machinery and infrastructure (chainsaws, irrigation, support structures)
  • Health and safety in the horticulture industry

Applicants must be aged 16 or over

Reasonable reading level and ability to follow written instruction
