What You're Signing Up For

The Graduate Diploma in Wine Science (Level 7) at EIT is intended for future winemakers, winery technical staff, senior cellar staff, winery enterprise managers, and others seeking to develop scientific, technical and managerial expertise in wine science and oenology. The programme covers advanced winemaking, chemistry, wine palate development and viticulture, and is offered on-campus or via distance learning with required residential schools.

What you need to know first

A completed three-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification)

Or, significant in-depth work and professional experience (at least five years) in the grape growing and winemaking industry (for domestic applicants)

Or, significant in-depth work and professional experience in science or the wine industry (for international applicants)

Acceptable English language fluency (IELTS 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 / PTE 50 with no band lower than 42 / NZCEL Level 4 Academic / international equivalents)
