This short course covers the essential knowledge and practical skills for safely operating and maintaining a chainsaw. Students will learn industry best practices, affirm and develop safe operating habits, and work towards meeting recognised unit standards. The programme is appropriate for land workers who require chainsaw skills for their daily activities, and includes online learning with regional support and optional local workshops.

What you need to know first
Applicants must be at least 16 years old at programme commencement.
