The Introduction to Cookery Taster is designed for secondary school students (Year 11 and above) who are interested in the world of cookery. Participants will spend a day at Wintec's Rotokauri campus, gaining practical experience in a trainee commercial kitchen, learning how to prepare a variety of dishes, and gaining insight into the fast-paced and dynamic environment of a professional kitchen. The day is intended to give students an authentic experience of Wintec's culinary programs and a pathway toward further culinary studies.
