The New Zealand Diploma in Hospitality Management (Level 5) equips students with the core skills required for a management career in hospitality. Over one year (full-time), you will develop your understanding of departmental management, facilities and inventory control, operational procedures, and team supervision. This hands-on course includes teamwork opportunities at real hospitality events and multiple field trips for industry exposure. Graduates will be ready for trainee management, team leader, or supervisor positions throughout the hospitality industry in Aotearoa.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 2 plus 42 credits at Level 3 or equivalent, OR Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in a hospitality-related discipline (e.g., food and beverage service, accommodation services, hotel reception), OR evidence of ability to meet the academic requirements.
