Blended study
This is a mix of online learning & face-to-face sessions

Participants will acquire new skills and further develop their expertise in a real-world workplace setting, directly supported by mentors and tailored learning agreements.

Graduates will be able to identify learning needs and design workplace activities that meet both their personal and organisational goals.

The Bachelor of Culinary Arts - Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at Otago Polytechnic allows industry professionals to further their education by completing customised projects integrated with their workplace. Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Advanced Standing, learners can fast track into later years of the degree. Projects are tailored to the student’s workplace and aspirations, with close collaboration among learners, employers, and lecturers. The pathway offers flexibility, career advancement, and mentorship, supporting professionals to develop and demonstrate new skills in areas directly relevant to their roles.
