The Postgraduate Diploma in Gastronomy at AUT enables students to gain an advanced understanding of perspectives and concepts related to gastronomy in one year, covering gastronomic concepts, theories, and approaches. The programme provides a pathway to further postgraduate study, including the Master of Gastronomy, and is designed to enhance skills and knowledge for those already in the food, hospitality, or tourism industries. Students critically examine food in relation to politics, culture, history, and ethics.
What you need to know first
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or relevant professional qualification/experience approved by the dean.
English language: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher, or equivalent.
