The Master of Gastronomy at AUT is a postgraduate programme that offers an in-depth, multidisciplinary exploration of food—its rituals, cultural significance, global issues, and socio-political impact. Students critically analyse the meanings and histories of food, work with new media and technologies, and collaborate with the AUT Centre for Future Foods to address contemporary and future food sustainability and resilience challenges. The programme combines coursework, research, and potential workplace internships guided by experienced academics and industry professionals.
What you need to know first
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7 or equivalent.
