The New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 4) at Ara covers the skills needed to create a wide range of complex dishes in commercial kitchen environments. Students learn preparation and presentation techniques for hot meals, desserts, pastries, food safety, health and safety, commercial kitchen operations, and communication practices. The program also emphasizes meeting health and safety standards and provides pathways to higher study and professional chef roles.
