What you need to know first
New Zealand Certificate in Aquaculture (Level 3) with strands in Hatchery, Fish or Shellfish.
Alternative entry available based on skills gained via study, work, or life experience (Recognition of Prior Learning possible).
English language proficiency: IELTS 5.0 Academic (no lower than 5.0 in any subtest) or equivalent per NZQA chart.
Physical fitness and ability to work in and around water; recommended ability to swim.
Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening prior to Semester 2 work placement.
Medical declaration required on entry adhering to Health and Safety in at Work Act 2015.
