This course offers a complete insight into every aspect of farm management. Topics include budgeting, credit control, taxation management, machinery ownership, financing, and agribusiness law. Students develop skills in financial administration of rural businesses, strategic planning, consultant-level assessment of land-use change, analysis of agricultural policies and laws, and effective communication both written and verbal within agricultural industry contexts.

  • Financial administration of rural businesses including bookkeeping and budgeting
  • Assessing business performance and strategic development
  • Understanding best practices from industry bodies including councils, government departments, suppliers, consultants, financiers, and food industry companies
  • Consultant-level assessment for land-use change including biological limitations and finance practices
  • Project management and long-term investment analysis
