What You're Signing Up For

Feed for Profit provides New Zealand dairy farmers, 2ICs, and managers with hands-on skills in pasture and feed management to improve farm profitability and sustainability. Over four in-person workshops, participants learn to analyse pasture and feed, plan strategies for optimal growth and utilisation, use DairyNZ tools, and create effective feed budgets.

  • Strategy and target planning for pasture growth and utilisation
  • Hands-on use of DairyNZ tools and pasture management technologies
  • Constructing and balancing a feed budget for dairy operations
  • Practical workshops with real farm data and scenarios

Current knowledge of pasture plants, rotation lengths, residual targets, and cow intakes

Access to farm pasture and feed information

Must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a NZ resident visa

Bring a laptop or device for course activities
