What You're Signing Up For
Feed for Profit provides New Zealand dairy farmers, 2ICs, and managers with hands-on skills in pasture and feed management to improve farm profitability and sustainability. Over four in-person workshops, participants learn to analyse pasture and feed, plan strategies for optimal growth and utilisation, use DairyNZ tools, and create effective feed budgets.

- Analysis of pasture and feed components in dairy systems
- Strategy and target planning for pasture growth and utilisation
- Hands-on use of DairyNZ tools and pasture management technologies
- Constructing and balancing a feed budget for dairy operations
- Practical workshops with real farm data and scenarios
What you need to know first
Current knowledge of pasture plants, rotation lengths, residual targets, and cow intakes
Access to farm pasture and feed information
Must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a NZ resident visa
Bring a laptop or device for course activities
