The Bachelor of Environmental Management at SIT develops theoretical knowledge and practical skills in managing, protecting, and sustaining the natural environment. Students study renewable energy, sustainable food systems, ecology, environmental law and policy, resource management, conservation, and more. The programme features practical fieldwork, research projects, and hands-on training with environmental equipment. Career outcomes include roles in resource management, planning, compliance, conservation, GIS, and other environmental fields. Graduates are eligible for further study in environmental policy, health, or planning.

What you need to know first

University Entrance NCEA Level 3 including 14 credits each in three approved subjects, plus literacy and numeracy requirements

Mature applicants: At least 20 years of age with evidence of aptitude, suitable work or study experience

Equivalent overseas qualification as approved by Head of Faculty
