This course provides an introduction to environmental monitoring for effective resource management. Students learn about New Zealand’s statutory framework for natural resource management and monitoring, principles and best practices of environmental monitoring and resource assessment, understanding environmental data, designing and collecting environmental data, and critically assessing monitoring practices in real-world scenarios.
