What You're Signing Up For

This course is designed for people already working in the electrical industry who wish to gain the Electrical Service Technician (EST) qualification. The programme emphasises the repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical appliances up to 460 volts, both theoretically and practically. Students will be prepared for the EWRB practical assessment and theory examination, with a strong focus on safety, measurement techniques, and compliant working practices.

Course Content

  • Servicing and installing large appliances, including commercial refrigeration and air conditioners
  • Service, maintenance, disconnection, and reconnection of single-phase and three-phase electrical appliances (up to 460 volts)
  • Safe working practices and safety protocols
  • Electrical measurement techniques
  • Preparation for EWRB practical assessment
  • Completion of theory examination through EWRB ASPEQ
