Meet EWRB renewal requirements
Fulfil the obligations for biennial renewal of the Electrical Practising Licence as set by the Electrical Workers Registration Board.

Update Electrical Safety Skills
Refresh and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety procedures and practical testing.

Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification
Refresh First Aid and CPR skills to the standard required for electrical workers, or provide evidence of current First Aid certification.
What You're Signing Up For
This course is designed for people who already have electrical registration, or who are trainees applying for registration and need to renew their Electrical Practising Licence. In just one, 4-6 hour course of study, participants can meet the EWRB’s obligations. The programme covers essential competencies required for electrical work, including critical safety and first aid updates, and is suitable for those with various endorsements such as supervision, mining, hazardous areas, medical cardiac protected areas, and mains parallel generation systems.
Course Content
- Electrical Safety and Testing (3 hours)
- First Aid/CPR Refresher (2 hours)
- Practical testing with electrical safety testing equipment
- Completion of EWRB's E-Learning Module prior to class attendance
What you need to know first
Already have electrical registration, or be a trainee applying for electrical registration
Completion of EWRB E-Learning Module prior to attending class
Provide evidence of completion of EWRB E-Learning Module to tutor
For First Aid/CPR Refresher module: must have completed Essential/Comprehensive or Level 1/2 New Zealand First Aid Certificate previously
