This micro-credential helps learning designers and educators of all levels discover how to integrate AI, including generative AI tools, into the process of online learning design. You’ll get hands-on with AI-powered tools and approaches, explore best practices, and consider ethical and cultural implications for applying AI in digital education. The course covers everything from theory to practical development of learning resources, assessment design, implementation and evaluation, with an emphasis on responsible, learner-centred design.

What you need to know first
Bachelor's degree or equivalent level qualification OR
Equivalent professional experience in a relevant field (may include paid or voluntary work; evidence required)
Beneficial: background in instructional design processes/models (such as ADDIE) OR completion of a comparable course (e.g. Learning Design Principles)
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening)
Laptop or desktop computer, reliable internet, PDF reader, word processing software, and a prototyping tool (e.g., Miro, Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides)
