What You're Signing Up For
The New Zealand Certificate in Learning Design (Level 6) equips educators and trainers in the adult and tertiary education sector to analyse learning design requirements and create solutions for improving curriculum, teaching practice, and learner outcomes. The programme has a strong emphasis on technology-enhanced learning and requires students to complete work-based learning in real education or training environments. Study is part-time via distance learning and students complete sequential papers covering learning theory, practical design, and evaluation.

What you need to know first
Minimum age 18 with NCEA Level 2, relevant Level 5 qualification, or equivalent skills and knowledge
Recommended prior learning in adult/tertiary teaching field and familiarity with adult learning concepts
Mature applicants (20+) should have evidence of suitability via study or work experience
Access to an adult or tertiary training or education environment (for work-based learning component)
