What You're Signing Up For
The Economics major in the Bachelor of Arts at AUT equips students with a deep understanding of economic theory and advanced concepts, focusing on how individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions. The program covers core competencies in economic analysis applied to contemporary social and economic issues, and includes practical work experience. Graduates are prepared for diverse roles in policy analysis, research, planning, and consultancy within both public and private sectors. Note: Not open to new students from 2025; economics can instead be included as a second major or minor.
