What You're Signing Up For

The Diploma in Creative Digital Design is a 40-week programme where students master skills in creative digital design, blending traditional techniques with cutting edge tools such as generative AI, 3D design, and motion graphics. Students learn visual communication, narrative design, brand strategy, packaging, and experiential design, guided by expert tutors to build portfolios that meet current industry needs. The course covers graphic design, storytelling, practical packaging development, and hands-on work with Adobe Creative Suite and collaborative tools, encouraging both technical and conceptual growth for careers in digital media.

Course Content

  • Communication Design: Visual design principles, type, imagery, static and dynamic media.
  • Narrative and Storytelling: Editorial design, typography, layout, targeting specific audiences.
  • Brand Strategy: Research, ideation, critical thinking for brand-related projects.
  • Packaging: Launching products, deliverables including barcodes, QR codes, die lines, photography, funding strategies.
  • Experiential Design: Static/dynamic design for user experience in physical and digital environments, semiotic analysis.
  • Hands-on projects: Sustainable packaging, portfolio development.
  • Industry software: Adobe CC suite, online collaborative tools.

What you need to know first

Graduation from the Level 5 Diploma in Digital Design – Web and Graphic Design, or portfolio approved by the Head of Faculty.

International students: At least 18 years old.

If first language is not English, must meet IELTS (Academic) 6.0 or equivalent.
