What You're Signing Up For
The Bachelor of Animation at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation is a comprehensive, three-year degree that provides training across all disciplines of animation. Students can major in Story and Character, World-Building and Visual Effects, or Interactive Media and Games. The programme covers principles of storytelling, life drawing, visual communication, 2D/3D animation, interactive narrative, advanced drawing, visual effects, professional practice, and major project work. Graduates are award-ready and equipped for professional success in the animation, gaming, and media industries. An optional Honours year is available for advanced research and creative practice.

What you need to know first
NCEA University Entrance (UE) or equivalent CIE/IB grades, preferably including a minimum of 24 NCEA credits at Level 3 in practical art, design or technology subjects
Portfolio demonstrating art and design skills
OR successful completion of Yoobee's Diploma in Animation Level 5
Discretionary Admission: strong Year 12 achievement or completion of relevant foundation programme or tertiary qualification plus portfolio/industry experience
Special Admission: for applicants over 20 with relevant experience and portfolio
International students: minimum age 18 and English proficiency (e.g., IELTS 6.0, no band < 5.5; TOEFL pBT 550, iBT 79; or equivalent)
