  • Studio Project: Management and execution of collaborative or independent creative projects, audience-centric concepts, and pipelines with ethical, health & safety considerations.
  • Industry Internship: Professional placement to gain industry experience, organisational understanding and evaluation.
  • Elective modules (sample): 2D & 3D Animation, Visual Effects & Compositing, Game Art & Design, Digital Filmmaking, Cinematography, Content Creation, Studio Photography, Storyboarding, Screenwriting, World Building, Studio Drawing, Fashion Design & Production, Computer Aided Design.
  • Principles of Animation and Stop-Motion Animation.
  • Pre-Production and Project Management Techniques.
  • Transmedia Storytelling and Project Distribution.

What you need to know first

A Bachelor degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical/professional industry experience.

Portfolio requirements: examples of free-hand and digital work, statement, CV, references, and interview.

High competence in spoken and written English (NCEA Level 2 literacy or equivalent).
