The Bachelor of Screen Arts - Film Major is a three-year degree designed for those passionate about film and storytelling. Learn practical filmmaking skills including production, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and visual effects in a community-driven environment. This programme supports both solo and collaborative projects, encouraging technical skill development, creativity, and innovation. Delivered in a flexible HyFlex format (onsite & online), it prepares you for various roles in the ever-evolving screen industries.

What you need to know first
University Entrance - NCEA Level 3, three subjects at Level 3 (14 credits per subject in approved NZQA subjects)
Literacy – 10 credits at Level 2 or above (five in reading, five in writing)
Numeracy – 10 credits at Level 1 or above
Portfolio of creative work is required upon application
Applicants 20+ may be admitted based on aptitude or experience (mature entry or special admission possible)
