What You're Signing Up For
The NZ Certificate in Content Creation (Level 4) provides fundamental skills, knowledge, and attributes to create and distribute relevant content for audiences across a variety of media platforms. This half-year programme has been designed to give you technical and professional skills needed to work on content creation projects, including working with communities, planning and producing engaging content, and preparing for your creative career. State-of-the-art equipment is supplied, and graduates will be able to work individually or collaboratively in media environments in culturally relevant ways. Successful completion supports progression toward higher creative study or entry-level creative media roles.

- Understanding media industry landscapes and defining personal goals
- Audio, visual, and written content creation
- Individual and collaborative media projects
- Legal and ethical considerations for content creation
- Professional skills in media environments
- Cultural competence in Aotearoa's multimedia landscape
- Working with state-of-the-art technical equipment (e.g. 4k cameras, microphones, editing PCs)
- Portfolio development for further study or employment
What you need to know first
At least 40 credits at NCEA Level 1 including 10 Literacy credits at Level 1 and 10 Numeracy credits at Level 1, or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 2 or above, or a recognised equivalent.
Applicants must be aged 16 years and over.
