What You're Signing Up For

This short course is designed to satisfy NZTA requirements for obtaining Wheels (W), Tracks (T), and Rollers (R) endorsements on your driver licence, allowing you to legally operate special-type vehicles (wheeled, roller, tracked) on public roads. Learners will understand the legal requirements, safe operation procedures, and responsibilities when driving these vehicles. Unit standards 16701 (Wheels), 16702 (Rollers), and 16703 (Tracks) are attained. The course offers online learning with optional in-person workshops and regional support.

What you need to know first

Minimum age 16 at course commencement

Able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level

Physically able to complete course outcomes

Full Class 1 NZ driver licence required; size of vehicle to be operated is dependent on licence class

For non-native English speakers: IELTS 5.5 (min 5 in each band) or equivalent
