What You're Signing Up For
The Diploma in Cloud Engineering is a 32-week, NZQA Level 7 program offered online by Yoobee. It delivers practical skills in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS and Azure. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, with real-world projects covering infrastructure, AI-driven data engineering, multi-cloud deployment, DevOps, and automation. Students engage in asynchronous study with weekly webinars and flexible learning, preparing for in-demand tech industry roles and offering a part-time option for working professionals.
Course Content
- Cloud Infrastructure & Modern Architecture: Designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions (computing, storage, networking).
- AI-Driven Cloud Data Engineering: Using ML models in cloud for optimization; understanding best practices and compliance.
- Cloud-Native DevOps and Platform Engineering: Deploying with containerized microservices, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Multi-Cloud Automation and Emerging Technologies: Deploying across providers, automation, security in multi-cloud.
- Hands-on use of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Project work with Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Manager, Linux, Windows Server, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft .NET.
- Real-world team assignments on complex cloud-based projects.
What you need to know first
Domestic: 17 yrs+, completion of NZ Diploma in System Administration (Level 6), Diploma in Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity (Level 6), or equivalent qualification or relevant trade experience.
International: 18 yrs+, English language competence equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5), successful completion of Level 6 qualification or equivalent, or relevant trade experience.
Access to a suitable computer, microphone, and reliable internet connection.
