What You're Signing Up For

This one-semester, full-time programme gives students a foundational grounding in IT, developing skills in technical support, basic programming, digital media, and information systems. It's suitable for those looking to enter the IT industry or continue toward more advanced IT qualifications. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices and will be prepared for entry-level positions in IT or further study, such as diplomas or degrees.

What you need to know first

40 credits at NCEA Level 2 including 10 literacy credits at NCEA Level 2 and 10 numeracy credits at NCEA Level 1; or a recognised equivalent (secondary school study)

Completed a relevant NZQF Level 3 course or a recognised equivalent (tertiary study)

Discretionary entrance possible for those without standard entry: must demonstrate potential to succeed

IELTS 5.5 (academic), with no band score lower than 5.0 (for non-native English speakers) or equivalent
