The Cisco Certified Networking Academy (CCNA) programme at Wintec trains students to design, build, and maintain secure computer networks, leveraging a web-based curriculum and hands-on practical exercises. The programme is delivered as three modules covering introduction to networks, routing and switching essentials, and scaling networks. It prepares learners for both the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA v7) and Network+ industry certification examinations.
Course Content
- Module One: Introduction to Networks (LANs, OSI Model, LAN Media, Structured Cabling, Basic Network Design, TCP/IP, Routing and IP Addressing, LAN Technologies)
- Module Two: Routing and Switching Essentials (Switching concepts, VLANs, Routing and router troubleshooting, DHCPv4 & DHCv6, Basics of LAN Security, Basic Wireless LAN concepts)
- Module Three: Scaling Networks (OSPFv2 configuration, security best practices, NAT services, IPv4 address scalability, secure remote access for WANs, network optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, virtualization, SDN and automation)
- Preparation for Cisco CCNA v7 and Network+ Certification Exams
