What You're Signing Up For
This 18-week, full-time Certificate in Information Technology at NZQA Level 5 equips students with essential and transferrable IT skills. The programme features training in technical support, information systems, software development fundamentals, and web concepts, preparing graduates for junior IT industry roles or further study towards diplomas and degrees. Students benefit from hands-on and theoretical learning, professional skill development, and access to experienced faculty in multiple New Zealand locations or via online evening classes.

What you need to know first
Must turn 17 within the first year of study at Whitecliffe.
42 credits at NCEA Level 3 including 14 credits in Digital Technologies or Computing, 10 credits in Maths, and 10 credits in English at NCEA Level 2 or above; OR Level 4 Certificate in IT Essentials; OR demonstration of equivalent knowledge, skills and experience; OR 60% pass in Skills and Knowledge Assessment.
International: Must turn 18 within the first year; IELTS Academic overall score of 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent; NZ or overseas qualification assessed by NZQA to equivalent level OR minimum 60% in Skills and Knowledge Assessment; Statement of purpose; Meet NZ visa entry requirements.
