Course Content

  • Basics of using a computer (turning on, signing/logging in, using mouse/keyboard)
  • Starting and moving between programs and apps on a Windows desktop
  • File management
  • Using Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, email, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Printing documents
  • Understanding the Internet, browsers, hyperlinks, search engines, and URLs
  • Basic search techniques and social media
  • Email setup, sending/receiving messages, attachments, and message options
