What You're Signing Up For
This New Zealand Certificate in Business (First Line Management) Level 4 programme is designed to equip learners with practical skills in leadership, managing workflows, motivating teams, communication, and achieving operational objectives in a business context. It includes three courses with workshops emphasizing effective team management, productivity, and business operations. The delivery is blended, combining online self-directed learning with face-to-face workshops in New Plymouth Campus. Entry requires being employed or volunteering with supervisory responsibilities. Additional expenses may include course materials, tools, PPE, and other items.
Course Content
- FLM4.101 - Managing Business Operations: Team processes, organisational structure, business strategy, workflow impact, communication and leadership approaches.
- FLM4.102 - Lead an Effective Team: Managing relationships, conflict resolution, professional and ethical behaviour, promoting inclusive environments, leadership style adaptation, communication tools.
- FLM4.103 - Achieving Productivity: Meeting productivity and performance targets, using tools to communicate and manage individual and group performance to achieve operational strategies.
