What You're Signing Up For

The Master of Management is a 180-credit postgraduate programme designed to advance and deepen knowledge within specialised areas of management. Students may specialise in marketing, information systems, digital business, hospitality, or innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme can be completed full-time in 18 months or up to 5 years part-time and offers both research (thesis, dissertation, or applied research project) and coursework pathways. It develops intellectual, leadership and strategic management skills and provides a pathway to doctoral studies. Graduates are prepared to communicate cross-culturally, lead multicultural teams, engage in intellectual analysis and problem-solving, apply advanced management knowledge, and conduct original applied research relevant to industry.

Course Content

  • BUS8400 Research Methods in Management (15 credits) - academic and applied management research skills, quantitative and qualitative methods, ethical considerations.
  • Marketing Specialisation: BUS8404 Consumer Behaviour (15 credits) - research in consumer and audience behaviour; BUS8416 Strategic Marketing (15 credits) - market analysis and strategy formulation.
  • Digital Business Specialisation: BUS8423 Analytics and Data Science for Managers (15 credits) - role of data analytics in business; BUS8424 New Technologies and Digital Business Models (15 credits) - impact of AI, IoT, blockchain on business models.
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship Specialisation: BUS8406 Entrepreneurship (15 credits) - business opportunity evaluation, venture creation; BUS8422 Innovation Management and Design Thinking (15 credits) - strategic innovation, design thinking.
  • Information Systems Specialisation: BUS8402 Business Analysis (15 credits) - business process development; BUS8409 Information Management (15 credits) - strategic use of information systems.
  • Hospitality Specialisation: BUS8405 Contemporary Issues in Hospitality (15 credits) - advanced hospitality management concepts; BUS8415 Strategic Hospitality Management (15 credits) - analysis of hospitality business models.

What you need to know first

Bachelor's degree in business or related field with B grade average (65%) at level 7 or 8

Applicants with non-business bachelor's degrees with relevant managerial work experience (min 3 years in managerial roles) may be admitted

International students require IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or equivalent
