What You're Signing Up For

The BBus(Hons) is an honours postgraduate degree for students who have completed a Bachelor of Business. It allows you to extend your knowledge and expertise in your specialist business subject, develop advanced critical thinking and research skills, and enhance your career prospects. The program comprises a mix of taught papers in your major (at least 60 points), a research dissertation (at least 30 points), and elective options. It is ideal for those seeking accelerated professional growth or preparation for an academic or research career. You will develop the confidence to identify, analyse, and solve complex organisational, business, and social challenges.

Course Content

  • 500 Level Specialist subject papers (at least 60 points) in areas such as Accounting, Agribusiness, Digital Business, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Marketing, Public Relations, Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management, and Tourism Management
  • 500 Level Research Dissertation (at least 30 points) on a topic of your choice
  • 500 Level Elective papers (up to 30 points)
  • Critical review and synthesis of theory, perspectives, and analytical approaches
  • Application of research and policy evaluation in specialist subject
  • Problem solving, solution development, and application of business knowledge
  • Advanced communication of research-informed arguments and ideas

Minimum B grade average across 300-level papers in BBus or equivalent

Prerequisites for graduate study in chosen major subject as determined by the Academic Board
