What You're Signing Up For
The New Zealand Certificate in Project Management (Level 4) equips students to contribute to and support project management activities in a range of business entities. Learners gain skills to support projects through their life cycle, lead basic aspects of a project under guidance, and develop professional and interpersonal skills suitable for contributing to project teams. Graduates may work in project support roles or progress to further study.
Course Content
- BSNS4601 – Introduction to Project Management: Contribute as a member of a project team to the various stages of a project.
- BSNS4602 – Scope Management: Complete components of project scoping in a support role.
- BSNS4603 – Project Components: Complete project components under guidance.
- BSNS4604 – Project Monitoring and Control: Assist with the monitoring and control of resources and processes to achieve project objectives.
What you need to know first
40 credits at NCEA Level 1, including 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy credits; OR relevant qualification at NZQF Level 2; OR recognised equivalent.
Special admission: 20 years or older without standard entry criteria.
Discretionary admission: Not yet 20 and not meeting entry criteria—assessed on preparedness.
English language: IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5) or equivalent for non-native speakers.
