What You're Signing Up For

Subject to NZQA approval, the Bachelor of Applied Management at NorthTec prepares learners to understand and manage business operations and people behaviour in organisations at both operational and strategic levels. The programme is delivered collaboratively with other Te Pūkenga subsidiaries. Students can choose majors including Project Management and Business Information Systems. The course includes application of learning to real-world industry projects. Students gain competencies in communication, ethics, problem solving, mindfulness and applied learning. The programme provides a pathway from diplomas and encourages credit transfers. Employment paths include business consultant, project manager, human resource manager and marketing manager among others. The programme requires 360 credits (minimum 75 credits at Level 7) with core and compulsory courses and integrates business theory with practical application.

What you need to know first

Be at least 16 years old at programme start

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level

Physically able to complete programme outcomes

IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) or equivalent for non-native English speakers

Applicants under 20 require NCEA Level 3 with University Entrance

Applicants 20+ need evidence of tertiary study ability (Level 4 or 5 preferred)
