What You're Signing Up For

AUT's Bachelor of Business gives students comprehensive business knowledge and the opportunity to specialise in areas such as accounting, economics, finance, HR, management, information systems, international business, and marketing. The program combines core courses, a major, and flexible options such as a second major or minors, and concludes with a workplace experience, applied project or a new business venture in the final year. Emphasis is placed on social impact and flexibility to include disciplines from outside business.

Course Content

  • Core business principles and practices
  • Foundations of accounting, economics, finance, HR, management, marketing, information systems
  • Workplace experience or applied project (Capstone)
  • Choice of one major (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Finance, HR, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Marketing)
  • Flexible component: choice of minors or electives, or a second major (which can be from business or other AUT degrees)
  • Option to undertake double degrees or conjoint degrees
  • Emphasis on social impact and real-world application

English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher, or equivalent
