What You're Signing Up For
The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with Honours (BBiomedSc(Hons)) provides hands-on research training within leading biomedical research teams. The programme is 85% independent research and 15% coursework focusing on key themes such as human and animal ethics, the Māori context in research, mental health and wellbeing, presentation and thesis writing skills. Students develop advanced critical thinking, experimental design, and analytical skills. The degree is thesis-only, has no final exams, is completed full-time across three campuses and is available in specialisations that span drugs and human health, functional human biology, infection and immunity, molecular health, nutrition and metabolism, and genetics and development.

- Research topics available in six specialisations: Drugs and Human Health, Functional Human Biology, Infection and Immunity, Molecular Basis of Health and Disease, Nutrition and Metabolism in Human Health, Reproduction, Genetics and Development

Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (BBiomedSc) or equivalent qualification
Average grade of at least B+ in appropriate 300-level major subject papers (90 points)
At least 216 points at 200-level or above
Approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences)
